Facebook Marketplace car alerts with Autofindr

Find relevant Facebook Marketplace cars with vehicle searches, matching alerts and a shortlist. Understand missing details and location limits.

Autofindr helps you watch Facebook Marketplace for cars and light commercial vehicles that fit a buying brief. Set the vehicle requirements, review the available search area and use matches to build a shortlist. You do not need to provide Autofindr with your Facebook password.

Start with the car rather than a broad keyword

Choose the model, budget and acceptable year range. Add transmission or mileage requirements when those facts matter to your purchase. A broad phrase such as “cheap car” gives less direction than a model and requirements you would actually act on.

Facebook adverts can contain incomplete vehicle information. Decide whether missing optional details should exclude a candidate or remain a question for the seller. If you require known mileage, an advert saying only “low kilometres” cannot supply a numerical reading.

Review the area the integration supports

Autofindr’s Facebook integration uses the marketplace’s anonymous search area rather than promising every radius control available in a signed-in Facebook session. Check the explanation shown in the configurator and inspect the location of each match.

A result near your selected city may still be inconvenient to inspect. Compare the actual trip and collection plan before choosing it over a slightly more expensive local car.

Example: an automatic family hatchback

A useful brief might specify a Corolla hatchback, automatic transmission, an acceptable year band and a maximum full-vehicle asking price. Review adverts for missing gearbox details, accessory-only wording and prices that represent a deposit rather than the car.

Save promising candidates, then ask for the missing information. If the seller confirms the wrong body style or transmission, refine that requirement instead of relying on a model name to do all the filtering.

From alert to inspection

A match is an advert to review, not a reservation or a verified vehicle. Open the original listing to confirm availability and contact the seller. Check condition and history through your normal buying process.

After purchase, record the agreed amount and costs in the Autofindr register. Keep the original marketplace conversation and purchase documents in appropriate storage. The search, favourite and register each serve a different part of the buying process.
